Selenite will vary in size. Due to its soft mineral composition, it is prone to scratches, chips, dents, and fractures. With proper care, it can be enjoyed for years to come. Selenite is not recommended to not put in water due to it will eventually dissolve the selenite. Most selenite products have natural spots, scratches, edge nicks, and hairline cracks in them. This is normal for selenite and isn't damaged or a defect. Selenite's normal growth pattern includes internal cracking called "veins".
